1. Read any one short story from your English textbook (or any English storybook).
Write a short summary in your own words (150–200 words).
Mention the moral or message of the story.
Part B: Writing Skill (10 Marks)
Choose any one of the following:
1. Write a letter to your friend wishing them Happy Diwali and describing how you celebrate the festival in an eco-friendly way.
2. Write a paragraph (150 words) on “The Importance of Festivals in Our Life.”
3. Write a poem of 8–10 lines on “The Festival of Lights.”
Part C: Grammar Practice (10 Marks)
Do the following exercises in your notebook:
1. Tenses: Rewrite 5 sentences of your daily routine using different tenses.
2. Transformation of Sentences:Change any 5 sentences from Active to Passive Voice.
Change any 5 sentences from Direct to Indirect Speech.
3. Do as directed: Write any 5 examples of each —Degrees of Comparison, Articles, Prepositions
Part D: Speaking & Listening Practice (10 Marks)
1. Prepare a short speech (2 minutes) on any one topic:

Importance of Clean and Green Diwali
My Diwali Memories
2. Listen to an English news bulletin or podcast for at least 10 minutes daily during vacation and note down 5 new words each day with their Marathi meanings.
Part E: Vocabulary Development (10 Marks)
Learn and write 20 new English words you come across during Diwali (from newspapers, TV, advertisements, or social media).Write their meanings in Marathi and use each word in your own sentence.
